What is GE Wellness Plan?
The GE Wellness Plan is designed for individuals and families looking to save money on dental and vision care services.  All participating providers have agreed to accept a discounted fee as payment in full for each service performed.

When can I start using this service?
Your membership is activated within 3 business days after your payment is received. Unlike some dental insurance, there is no 30-day or 90-day waiting period or background check.

Do I get a membership card?
Yes.  All members are able to print out their membership cards and the GE Wellness Plan enrollment kit immediately following the online enrollment.

What is a participating provider?
A participating provider is a dentist, optometrist or ophthalmologist who has agreed to participate in the GE Wellness Plan provider network and provide services to GE Wellness Plan members at discounted fees.

What providers are available in my area?
Use Family Dental USA's powerful searches to find a dentist or vision provider in your area.  The GE Wellness Plan has a nationwide network of pre-screened, credentialed providers.

Can I change my dentist or vision provider?
Yes.  You may change your dentist or vision provider at any time without all that paperwork.  Simply go to our Website and search for another dentist or vision provider in your area.

Is this insurance?
No.  GE Wellness Plan is a discount referral plan. For some people, we are a better alternative to insurance because there are no deductibles, no waiting periods, no claim forms, no age limits, and all pre-existing conditions are covered, with the exception of orthodontics already underway.

What steps are taken to ensure that the participating dentists and vision providers are qualified?
All of the GE Wellness Plan participating dentists and vision providers are subject to a selective screening process to ensure that all are qualified and their qualifications meet the standards of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

What if I move? Am I still covered?
Yes, wherever the GE Wellness Plan has providers.  The GE Wellness Plan has a nationwide provider  network*.  Even while traveling or vacationing, you're covered!

* Plan benefits not available in these states:  AK, AL, LA, ME, MS, MT, ND, NM, SC, SD, WY.


What if I find that it is not for me?
THERE IS A 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE for the first 30 days.  FamilyDentalUSA will issue a full refund of the membership fees you have paid within the first thirty days from the purchase date of the GE Wellness Plan. Refund requests that are made after the first 30 days will be prorated over the remaining period minus a $20 administrative and processing fee.  All cancellations must be submitted to FamilyDentalUSA in writing by US mail, fax or e-mail.  Please contact FamilyDentalUSA toll free at 1-866-DENTAL5 for further information.

I work in human resources for a medium-sized company that does not offer a dental plan. Can our employees join as a group?
Yes. FamilyDentalUSA can offer the GE Wellness Plan to groups (or organizations, profit or non-profit) of five members or more.  Call FamilyDentalUSA at 866-336-8255 and ask for a group sales representative for details.

Do I have to use one of GE Wellness Plan's participating providers?
Yes. Remember, all of the GE Wellness Plan providers are carefully screened.  Only participating providers agree to provide services according to the GE Wellness Plan fee schedules.

Is there a limit to the number of members covered under the family plan?
There is no limit, as long as everyone enrolled in the family plan is a financially dependent family member living in your household.

I have some dental health insurance provided by my employer now, but it is not very good. Can I use your service as well?
Yes. Many GE Wellness Plan members use the plan as a supplement to the coverage they now have.

What if I lose my card?
Simply visit the FamilyDentalUSA website and go to Member Login to print out more membership cards.

What if my provider is not listed here?
Have your dentist or vision care provider call GE Wellness Plan to become a provider.
